Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 12, 2026. This Privacy Policy describes how Availy (operated by Jonathan Strickland) (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Availy mobile application and related websites or services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
1.1 You provide
- Account & profile: such as name, email, and organization or team identifiers when you sign up or join a team.
- Workforce data: schedules, availability, shift assignments, time-away requests, announcements, and similar operational content you or your organization enters into the Service.
- Support: information you send when you contact us.
1.2 Automatically collected
- Device & usage: such as device type, OS version, app version, log data, crash diagnostics, and in-app interaction events used to operate and improve the Service.
- Identifiers: such as push notification tokens where enabled.
1.3 Purchases
If you purchase a subscription, payment platforms (Apple, Google, or Stripe) process payment card and transaction data. We receive limited purchase status information from those platforms to manage access—not your full card number.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service
- Authenticate users and enforce organization/team permissions
- Process subscriptions and billing status
- Communicate about the Service, updates, and support
- Monitor reliability, debug issues, and improve product experience
- Comply with law and protect rights, safety, and integrity
3. Analytics
We may use analytics tools (such as PostHog) to understand aggregate usage. Where enabled on the web, PostHog may collect events similar to those described in their documentation. You can limit certain tracking through your browser settings where available.
4. Subscriptions & payments processors
We use third-party services to operate subscriptions, including:
- RevenueCat (or similar) to help manage in-app purchases and entitlements on mobile platforms.
- Apple App Store and Google Play for mobile purchases.
- Stripe for web or direct billing where offered.
These providers process information under their own privacy policies and act as independent controllers or processors depending on the service.
5. Authentication
We may use an authentication provider (such as Clerk) to sign you in. That provider may process account identifiers (e.g. email) and session data as described in its policy.
6. How we share information
We share information only as needed:
- With your organization: workforce data is visible to managers and members according to your organization’s use of the Service.
- Service providers: hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support tools, email delivery, subscription management, and payment processors, under contractual obligations.
- Legal & safety: if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice where required.
We do not sell your personal information as defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary based on data type and legal requirements.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
10. Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise rights, email support@availyapp.com. We may need to verify your request. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (EEA/UK) where applicable.
11. International users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy and revise the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
